Beautiful Jackets Just Because.....
In upcoming blogs Im going to write about the history of zippers, hopefully interview two old time bikers from the 1950s, and if I am lucky I will have an interview with one of the descendants of Archie's Riders. In the meantime there were some absolutely beautiful jackets that were traded this week and I cant help myself but post some images on my blog!!
If any of my faithful readers have old family photos, or a family member who bought, sold or made leather or have any other great images or stories, I am always looking for new information, material and images to publish. Send em my way!!!
real beauties, dave.
ReplyDeleteyour posts recently have been great, but don't shy away from just posting straight up shots of great leathers and what they are all about!
I think your blog is great. I live in New York, but I have family in Toronto and visit about twice a year. Do you have any suggestions of where I might be able to scoop up a nice horsehide jacket? I almost picked one up at Kensington Market last December, but it was a bit large on me. Much appreciation in advance & keep up the great blog!
ReplyDeleteI think this blog is among the best in the category of vintage leather jacket. I live in Greece and I have two motorcycles. A Ducati St4s ABS model 03 and a BMW R75 of 77. I enjoy the Ducati jacket my DAINESE and also the Harley. Now interested in an authentic Buco J-100 Steerhide jacket size 44 and larger. Any help from you, in my search, are welcome. Again, congratulations on the blog. Continue with the same enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteWow...that "henley" style leather shirt with the tie front is crazy...never seen one like that!
ReplyDeleteAlso...I would love to hear what you have to say about ZIPPERS! I love zippers. I'm always trying to find the right ones for my leather stuff. I really love the heavy old brass Talon zippers. Please share more....thanks!
